Curiosa is a project
by Luiza Marçal @luizamarcal

The Brazilian designer worked in the fashion industry for 10 years before discovering ceramics. The name Curiosa, meaning “curious” in Portuguese, reflects her constant search for new creative possibilities. Her journey with ceramic art began in a workshop, where she had the idea for her first piece and discovered the expressive potential of clay and hand-painted finishes.

With a deep appreciation for handcrafted work, Luiza explored crochet, sewing, embroidery, and collage. But it was through ceramics that her creations crossed the threshold of the home, becoming a bridge to the outside world.

Her handcrafted ceramics blend functionality and décor, designed to spark curiosity and break the monotony of everyday life.

Customization is at the heart of her creative process. Luiza invites her clients to take part in designing their pieces by choosing from various combinations of ceramic table lamp bases and lampshades. Her bold approach to color results in unexpected yet harmonious palettes, infusing each piece with character and personality.
